ur visit always brings a smile on my face - thank you for the good wishes - they're always welcome in my little space much as u are. Now I gotta go figure out what in creation's name is Rhyming Sisters!!
Sophie,
so sweet of you to drop by and gimme directions - howdya knw I'm always getting lost? For the life of me, I can't read either a compass or a map and when I ask for guidance, I get propositioned instead - so am glad I got some help frm u, unasked....best kinds:-)
Cheers to u, too!
Yo Budz (buddy+pheelawer, whokkay?)
thank you.
I was pleasantly surprised to find myself inching towards being published coz so far all I see are pink slips (I dont mind them as long as they have some broderie anglaise - damn those MB's - but wud rather the wine red, if there was a choice;-) and only 'stuck-ded' at being short-listed.
I jes got to knw - u tole me, silly chile! Ta for that, Don wud say!
Okeez boss-lady, rule #1 and 5 stand scrapped as of today!!
But we still want pix of ur boyz2men - on the double....after all, what's a muse without a face and urz sound so adoptable!! GB!
Vikram,
this was really nice: channeling thoughts towards life-positive things has its own rewards, not the least of which is peace of mind that helps us cultivate a happy mind.
Seeingeye,
Pleej latt me iuj these all rules for that not-yet-5-but-going-on-15-sumtimes horror of mine!! After the tummy rumbles of reading this post subsided, I called Don away from eating hailstones and asked him if he knew what rules he has to live by. He seated himself in the next office chair and solemnly declared:
1) Don't play games that make you laugh loudly
2) Don't play on the steps, slope and road coz you will fall and break your head
3) Don't break flowers 'cept if you give them to Mummy
4) Ask for 2 biscuits and you will get 4, but if you ask for Eleventeen, you will get 1maybe.
5) I am forgetting the others coz sometimes u make new ones by the meantime when I mumber (remember) dese.
Thanks for the Sunday Laffz:-)) Can I give 2 votes??![]()
Worthiit tha - alldaway!
Hi,
I wouldn't generally comment to disagree and simply give a different view, but one secret I'll let you in on - right after I say I do not agree with Saranya and I'd also like to point out a small abberation in your view - and perhaps that of many others: that writing is not an art...it's a craft, young seeker.
And there are guides. For everything you hope to learn in Life with a pure heart and focussed mind. Whether its tying shoe-laces, learning to give compliments without being over fussy about it, making bhel-puri or balancing chemistry formulas - it can well be you, too. But if you don't have the time to make all your mistakes on your own, then yes, a Guide is a better bet - he/she will have in most circumstances, made the most crucial ones on his/her own and can direct you on your journey to loving the weaving of words/excelling in corporate mergers/making batata vadas crispy on the outside and just rite on the inside from the hard-won lessons - but choose wisely and listen to your heart. All the wisdom you seek is contained in there.
Best o'luck! (And oh, don't be demoralized by others not sharing your hope - make enough in the morning for yourself when you open your window - "All this - For Me?? Thank you, God!!" and begin your day! and you'll find you have plenty of sunshine to spread around with enuf to spare to cheer u up, too:))
Okay Budz, done - you got your 3 yrs reprieve, grass, hermitage et all!! Will hold you to it - don't wriggle too hard outta it - u nvr knw it may well be what u and I both need
Yo to Sunny Days in Sanyas!!
Thank you for the thumb-up ~ guess you too like 'em endangered thingies? Yeah, I'm a mountain soul at heart
~ guess that's why I came away here last yr... but, whaddya want to bet I can't convert you to being one if you make that trip here next year? Try our sunday lunch-out by the lake-shore, wash it down with a bottle of un-mineralized spring water, read alternate passages from dog-eared books, wriggle toes at the edge of nothingness and walk double-chakkar back home...thru the winding woods...what say?
Skipping Christmas - Don't think about it, till you read Grisham's holiday humor contained in this novel!
